About

Back in early 2020, everything felt like it was collapsing at once.

New York City—usually loud, fast, alive—went quiet.

Sirens replaced traffic. Storefronts shuttered. People stopped shaking hands, stopped gathering, stopped trusting proximity. And in the middle of all that uncertainty, I found myself at a crossroads, just like everyone else—except I didn’t have the luxury of waiting things out.

I had bills. Responsibilities. And a skillset that suddenly felt… uncertain in a world that had stopped moving.

But one thing hadn’t stopped: paperwork.

Even in a pandemic, life didn’t pause. People were still refinancing homes to stay afloat. Families were still dealing with estates, hospital documents, power of attorney forms. Real estate didn’t disappear—it just became harder, more complicated, more urgent.

And that’s when it clicked.

If people couldn’t go out… someone had to go to them.

That idea became my turning point.

Starting a mobile notary business in NYC during the height of the pandemic wasn’t some polished business launch—it was raw, scrappy, and honestly, a little scary. Every appointment came with risk. I was walking into homes, hospitals, and buildings at a time when no one fully understood what was safe.

Mask on. Gloves in my pocket. Sanitizer always within reach.

There were moments I questioned everything. Standing outside buildings, waiting for a client, wondering if I was putting myself at risk… wondering if it was worth it.

But then I’d meet people.

A nurse who couldn’t leave her shift but needed documents notarized urgently.
A family trying to finalize paperwork for a loved one in critical condition.
A homeowner desperate to close a refinance to lower their monthly payment and stay afloat.

These weren’t just signings. These were real moments in people’s lives—often heavy, emotional, and time-sensitive.

And I realized something powerful:

I wasn’t just providing a service. I was showing up when people needed someone the most.

That mindset changed everything.

Word started spreading. Attorneys, title companies, hospitals—they all needed someone reliable, someone willing to move when others wouldn’t. I became that person.

Late nights. Last-minute calls. Traveling across boroughs when the city felt empty but heavy at the same time.

It wasn’t glamorous—but it was necessary.

And slowly, what started as survival turned into something bigger.

Consistency turned into trust.
Trust turned into referrals.
Referrals turned into a real business.

Looking back, the pandemic didn’t just push me into starting a mobile notary business—it forced me to step into a role I didn’t fully realize I was ready for.

In a time when the world felt uncertain, I built something steady.

And that’s the part people don’t always see:

It wasn’t about perfect timing.
It was about moving anyway—when everything around you says stand still.

That’s how it started.
